We are delighted to announce that we are working with the excellent team at Continental Gold on their exclusive 34 by Continental Gold luxury holiday let apartments. A collection of eight boutique holiday apartments on Coney Street in York, this grade 2 listed building is filled with rich history and is being converted into one of the cities most unique places to stay. 

Design, quality and a desire to make a difference are values that both companies share, so the opportunity to work together on this high end development was an easy decision to make for both parties.

REJUVENATION

Before Continental Gold purchased the property, 34 Coney Street was in a state of decay. Situated on York’s main shopping street, the premises have remained empty since Swarovski jewellers vacated in 2017. Continental Gold’s purchase and redevelopment ensures that a sustainable future for the area is now underway.

The premises span 5 floors, plus an outbuilding, and with 8 apartments, including an exquisite penthouse with unrivalled views of York Minster, they are guaranteed to become one of the cities premier short stay destinations.

Utilising our extensive experience in bespoke contract upholstery, we’ll be designing and creating 5 sofas (1 curved velvet sofa, 1 modular corner velvet sofa and 2 vintage black leather buttoned sofas), 2 vintage leather buttoned armchairs, 2 velvet armchairs, 8 divan beds, 7 boutique headboards, 3 dining chairs, 3 footstools, a sleeper sofa, an extended upholstered bench and a bespoke day bed, all of which will feature exquisite fabrics (each of which is Crib 5 FR compliant). In addition to this, we’ll also be supplying 32 luxury light fittings and a handful of chairs and side tables that will ensure 34 by Continental Gold oozes sophistication and decadence, in keeping with the cities rich history.

These are continuously replenished, ensuring that there is no damage to the surrounding environment, or to native flora and fauna. High quality furniture offers a longer lifespan, benefitting the environment by not adding additional unnecessary waste to landfills.

In line with our continued sustainability commitment, this development means we’ll be planting 930 trees to help combat deforestation and CO2 emissions.
